Connecting SharePoint lists (Calendar, Contact, Custom Lists, etc) to Outlook using the Colligo Contributor Add-in is disabled by default.
Important Note
Connecting lists is disabled by default due to a performance issue that used to occur when viewing SharePoint list within Outlook 2007. The issue has now been resolved by Microsoft with the release of the Office 2007 Service Pack 1. Therefore, if you are using Outlook 2007, you must ensure SP1 is installed before enabling SharePoint lists for the Contributor Outlook Add-in. For more information on the issue, please have a look at the "
Outlook 2007 issue while browsing SharePoint lists" article.
Enable Lists
Enabling the list for the Add-in can be done by creating the following string value in the registry editor:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ColligoOfflineClient\Outlook
Name: EnableLists
Type: String
Value: "1" or "0" (Where "0" = Disabled and "1" = Enabled)
*If the Outlook key is not present, you simply need to create it.
It is also possible to pre-configure the option with the MSI installer prior to the installation. For more information about configurable options of Colligo Contributor, please have a look at the "Contributor Configuration Settings and Deployment" article.
Limitations
Lists may be connected to Outlook. A connected list is provided for viewing/editing the content through the Contributor interface. It is not possible to drag-and-drop content into a SharePoint list. Items dragged into a connected list folder will be moved to the Contributor 'Import Issues' folder.
