This article applies to:
7.x Briefcase for Windows, Email Manager for Outlook
6.x Briefcase for Windows, Contributor Pro, Email Manager for Outlook
Issue: The product's default language is English, but is available in French, German, and Spanish (Castillan and Mexican). When installed on a non-English language machine, the product detects the language settings and operates according to them.
Resolution: When the product is configured to display in an alternate language, you need to install the following language packs:
- Windows Language Pack
- .NET Runtime Language Pack
- VSTO Runtime Language Pack
If the language packs are not installed, the preferred language displays. However, the Windows components display in the Windows base language.
NOTE: In Contributor Pro 4.x, you can override the default setting and display the program in an alternate language.
Contributor Pro 4.x detects the Windows OS language settings and displays in the corresponding language (see below).
Windows Language | Contributor Language

English | English
French | French
German | German
Spanish | Spanish (Castilian)
Other | English
