What do I need to consider when upgrading my Colligo product?

7.x Briefcase for Windows, Email Manager for Outlook
6.x Briefcase for Windows, Contributor Pro, Email Manager for Outlook

When upgrading to a new version of a Colligo product, please be aware of the following:

  1. Any previous installed versions of the product must be shut down prior to upgrading. Shut down Outlook and Internet Explorer if they are using files. If the Colligo Briefcase for Windows icon is displaying in the system tray, right-click the icon and select Exit from the contextual menu.
  2. If you have previously applied configuration settings by modifying the installation MSI file, you need to apply those same changes to the upgrade MSI file prior to installation.
