6.x Briefcase for Windows
Currently, Briefcase for Windows does not fully support OneNote file types.
Due to the unique functionality of the OneNote Recycle Bin for managing deletions in OneNote, Briefcase for Windows does not recognize the Recycle Bin as a repository for deleted items; instead it is treated as a regular folder. Therefore, upon synchronization, Briefcase creates a new copy of the deleted file within the OneNote Recycle Bin as part of the delete, instead of moving it to the Recycle Bin. This results in deleted files such as Notebooks and Sections re-appearing after a synchronization.
Support for this functionality is not currently on our roadmap, but will be considered for a future release.
