How do I find out if my system is 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)?

To determine whether your system is 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64):

OS	Details
Windows 7	Click the Start button. Right-click Computer. Click Properties. Look for System type under System.
Windows 8	Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search. Type system in the search box, and then tap or click Settings. Tap or click System. Look for System type under the System heading.
Windows 10	Open the Settings app from the Start menu. Select System, and then select About. Look to the right of System type.
