Unable to sync after update for 7.2.1 upgraded to 7.2.2 - still an issue

I upgraded from 7.2.1 and I noticed that a lot of my documents still had the sync pending icon on them. Even if I manually syncd (regular or full) the document would not synchronize.
I upgraded to 7.2.2 but the issue still persists. I am now stuck that the local copy on my laptop is the only good version and I am afraid to remove the site because I don't want to lose the local files and folders that have NOT syncd to my office SharePoint.
